Really Attracts Those Finches! Most plastic bird feeders that you see have small spokes for the birds to sit on and holes where the seeds fall out. I’ve found that a great deal of the seed is lost to the ground when multiple birds are feeding. This ‘thistle sock’ is composed of a thick material that won’t break apart. It may not be as attractive as most feeders, but it sure attracts birds. Durable, quality thistle sock This is a heavy-duty thistle sock, which will last much longer than the average sock available on the market. I’ve been looking for a large one from this heavier material for a while. These won’t stretch out as it’s emptied and the weight of the seed at the bottom pulls it down– it’s just not stretchy like the other socks. The sturdier cord and barrel lock closure are a bonus!
Birds like it as well as any other sock I’ve used I have a smaller sock and I have to fill it too often, so purchased this one. This is great! I only have to fill it every couple of days and the birds like it. I think it has better quality mesh than my small sock.
