Hasn’t Been a Bluebird Magnet Bluebird nuggets are a great buy for the money. One bag contains quite a few nuggets, and if used only for bluebirds would last us quite a few months. Our buebirds readily eat live mealworms offered to them, but haven’t been so enthusiastic with these bluebird nuggets. I was hoping they’d take to the nuggets so I could cut back on the live mealworms.
Good product but has limitations Let me first start off by saying I have personally sold a private label version of this product as a store owner (previously but don’t any more) and have many years of experience feeding the birds myself in the midwest. That being said, this is a good bird food to put out for your birds in general. But, the name of the product is a bit of a misnomer because bluebirds will only eat it under certain conditions – those being very cold and harsh times of the year when natural food like insects…
Blue Bird Nuggets We bought these to feed blue birds and attract them to our yard and nesting boxes. We have found that other birds love them to, especially mocking birds and wrens.
