Chow Down The birds seem to like this food although I have not seen the large number of chow hounds that other reviews report. It is not often that there is more than one feeder at a time and rarely are there two. One of the reasons is that there are some mean finches and when they are feeding they don’t let anyone else to come around. The price is good and the prime service is excellent. I have seen better prices at Wal-Mart but unless I am at the store already it is not worth the time, effort or cost…
Variable quality, my bag was a dud This must have variable product quality, these seeds were ignored by the birds, the feeders stayed full. Small companies may not be able to get product from the same sources throughout the year, this would explain why others had more luck. I replaced it with Wagner’s and the goldfinchs and purple finches were back the next day. Wagner’s 20b bag is half the cost per pound. The birds are eating about 10 lbs a month so that is important to me; I just bought my 3rd bag this year.
Wrong item sent twice I paid for thistle seed and was initially sent cracked corn instead. I contacted customer service and was promised to be sent the correct item. A few days later, I received another bag of cracked corn. I give up on getting the correct item I ordered and paid for.
