Bluebirds won’t eat them I have bluebirds nesting in my yard so I thought I would try to improve the habitat so they would stay and maybe use my box for the whole summer. They have no interest in these. They have a little interest in home made bluebird food. Turns out that bluebirds eat bugs almost exclusively in the spring and summer. They switch to berries and such in the winter when the bug supply is limited. That is the time for home made bluebird food or possibly these bluebird nuggets. So I will try them…
Bluebirds seem to like these…if there are lots of bluebirds I think these are exactly what they say…for bluebirds. If there are other feeders nearby, the other birds such as Titmice, Chickadees and Wrens will begrudgingly peck away if there is nothing else. This review is for NC, so not sure about the birds in other states. If these are left out in the rain for too long, with will become a moldy mess in just a few days when its warm.
