Functional and Attractive Addition to Feeding Post This baffle works well for those bothered by a multitude of predators seeking out bird seed, namely squirrels and raccoons. So far, we haven’t had any problems with either since the installation. The only difficulty we had was that one of the attachment straps broke before even being affixed to the post. My husband improvised, and so far, it has held. The welding on the straps leaves something to be desired, or I’d rate this product higher.
A start but not an end… If you’re like me and want something that can withstand the test of time, understand you’re buying a frame that will require bolstering to stand up to Mother Nature. You’re getting rolled metal with 4 brackets. As other reviews have stated, the bracket welds are poor and there’s nothing straight about any of the construction. The angles and distances of the brackets are not uniform. So reading the previous reviews, I bought a can of good rust-preventative spray paint (hammered copper color)…
Good Product, Product is well made, sturdy and attractive. But be careful with the description on Amazon’s page. It indicates this is a “brushed copper baffle” giving the impression it is copper material. It is actually painted steel, bronze in color as indicated in the product title. The difference in description between the title and the description in the Product Features area has been made known to Amazon.
