Love that it is made in USA Love that it is made in USA. Problem is that the squirrel likes it too. No problem getting past the baffle. Not Squirrel proof as far as we are concerned. Have added another type baffle to see if that will work (see photo). Will keep it anyway but are a little disappointed.
We’ll see about the squirrels, but it appears to be the solution to our problem. We’ve had a bird feeder pole, but it had rusted, the baffle was gone, and the squirrels were having a heyday with our bird food. They came up from the bottom, and top even though we had put baffles above the feeder. This top is curved and the pole is thinner, so with the additional baffle, it should do the trick. This must be easy to put together, as my husband did it unassisted 🙂
I’m happy, the birds are happy and the squirrels are ticked off! It’s been over 2 weeks now and no matter how hard they try, the tree rats (squirrels) can’t get to the bird feeders! They are consigned to eating the leftovers the flying rats (Carolina Wrens) throw out of the feeders because they cherry pick the seed. The tree rats are so ticked off they chase off the doves that eat off the ground every chance they get and get into fights with each other over the seeds on the ground.
