  1. Easy identification makes for fun times! I love these fold-out guides. I’ve bought them for other states in which I lived too. They are always informative, easy to read, and have just about the right content. I admit…I would have liked just a few more graphics, but it is still great. (Opsrey in flight would have helped.) I’m not a sophisticated bird watcher, but when I go out in my neighborhood with these guides, I can postiively identify birds. It is so much fun!

  2. Great practical guide Nice gift for my elderly father who enjoys looking at the birds that gather at his bird feeder. It is easier to use than a book and seems to cover all the birds in his area. I recommend.

  3. A nice guide if you understand it’s limitations Even though I am an avid birder and have many standard guide books I also own over a dozen of the foldable guides in this series. I use them as “flash cards” before a trip in order to become familiar with the common birds in a particular area so I can spot the unusual ones quicker. I also give them to my non-birding companions so I can share the joy of identifying wild birds. It is not as intimidating to them as a Sibley’s or a Peterson’s guide book. I should mention that the guide has less…
