A very nice book of very nice quality. Could be even better in my opimion with minor changes. This is a very nice guide. The photo quality and the paper quality are very good, expeically when considering the offered price.
Good Bird Book This is a good book, but I do have a couple of complaints. It is arranged by primary color of the bird in question. The second complaint is, for instance, you look up a mallard drake, you have to go to a different page to see the hen. Those are a little petty of me, but I’m used to seeing the different sexes on the same page. Other than that, this is a handy little book. It probably won’t be my Go To book, but its size makes it handy to carry in a pocket if you are out birding. And, why carry…
Beautiful photography, but not complete The things I love the most about this book is the full-page color photographs of the birds and the full descriptions of appearance, location, behavior, etc. StanTekiela creates beautiful images, like I wish I could! Also, this field guide is very portable, very lightweight and has small dimensions. Many other field guides are bulky and heavy.
