Either is OK without the other, but together they make a fine collection of sights and sounds of birds found in West Virginia, many of which visit back yards regularly. The only bad thing I can say is that the cover came … A detailed book my family can use to identify our local birds. We set up bird feeders so my children could watch birds and learn about them as well using this book. The only bad thing I can say is that the cover came off within a week of owning. It seems the book is too heavy for the glue. It would be nice if made in a spiral binding.
