Similar to sunflowers, safflower offers high nutritional value. It’s distinguishing feature however, is that it is liked by birds most of us want to see such as cardinals and mourning doves. As squirrels do not like safflower, it makes an excellent choice if you would like more birds than squirrels in your feeding area.

Packaging is excellent! Packaging is excellent! I’ve had orders of seeds come in broken bags and lost seed through the bottom of boxes. This came double packaged and perfect. I’m only giving four stars because there are some seeds that appear to be less fresh, but I will be buying again.
Outdoor Doves love these seeds the best These are always expensive and I’ve been indulging my outdoor birds for years. Nice to be able to find reasonably priced seed in the 25lb size.
