Wow – no more squirrels!!! So I was a little reluctant to spend so much on bird seed, especially when I wasn’t sure it would work – i have very tenacious & aggressive squirrels in my urban neighborhood and the poor birds were relegated to sitting below the feeder getting the scraps. Based on other reviewers, i mixed this 50% with regular seed and then filled the feeder – I also dabbed some Crystal hot sauce on the 4 openings, for good measure. The hot seed that we normally get at Walmart is … The hot seed that we normally get at Walmart is no longer available (there), so we gave this one a whirl. I had high hopes for it! Unfortunately, it just doesn’t seem to be nearly as offensive to our little squirrels here. They kind of dig through it and eat it at times. It’s getting consumed, but by both birds and other critters.
Terrific for nj birds The birds just get better and better!!Bought a cheaper seed and lost my finches,woodpecker etc.. bought this again and they are all back. And squirrels hate it so they are gone
