  1. Do not buy this product — Unless you have trained birds, ha! I literally have several various finches cussing at me outside jumping around the deck trying to figure this thing out. They will not hit this feeder, but they show up daily and let me know they are trying to figure it out. They’ll all bounce around the deck and trees around the deck chatting it up and none even come close to trying to land on this mesh. It’s super light, cheaply made and the birds can’t figure it out? Pass on this one and buy one with perches that is a bit longer. I think…

  2. OK but mesh holes need to be smaller I like that it can be easily cleaned, is easy to fill, and is durable. I was using seed socks for my niger seed, and had to wash them weekly, and repair holes every few days that the birds made in the socks. I could use the socks perhaps a month before they needed to be replaced. What I don’t like about this metal feeder is that the mesh openings are a little too large for niger seed. If you just tap the feeder, the seed falls out, so the birds are going through it very quickly, and quite a bit…

Easy to Use, Beautiful Copper, and Great for Yellow Finches and Other Birds There are days when I am unable to count just how many yellow finches are on this little copper-top thistle mini feeder. The product looks lovely when first hung. What I like the most is that I don’t have to trouble myself with opening the top when pouring more thistle into the feeder. I have had feeders where I have to wrestle the top off and this is so easy to use.
