  1. (Edit: No longer) Recommended for finch feeders if unable to make it in to support local feed shops Edit/removal of two stars: Of course literally a couple of days after I write the positive review below, the price goes up by over $20. Unreal, and with that type of increase they have lost a customer who was about to be a frequent orderer and quite loyal! -12/3/17—About $12-$15 more than my ‘local’ (read: not actually that local, one reason I have to resort to Amazon for this item instead) similar mixture of the same weight by volkkmann, but the goldfinches fly through it faster so…

  2. My house and gold finches are addicted to this stuff … My house and gold finches are addicted to this stuff. I have to mix it with slightly less yummy millet seed or something to stretch it out. They can empty the feeder in one day otherwise. It has a delicious smell- makes ME want to eat some! And because the sunflower seeds are husked and broken, there is little to be left over when the feeding frenzy is done. I usually leave the feeder empty a day or so in between fillings to encourage the birds to clean up underneath, and they do!

  3. Great But WAY OVER PRICED!! Gad! I’ve been buying this like crazy because my finches love it so much….but I just found it at my local feed store here in expensive California, for $7.95!!!! Exact same product, same weight, same packaging. So shop around!! But your finches Will Love It.
