Nice Sturdy Thistle Sack This is a nice big sturdy sack. The finches feed from it all the time. When the sack is full, it’s not unusual for eight or nine birds to be hanging onto it and feeding. The downside of this is that I end buying a lot of relatively expensive thistle seed. But, the enjoyment of watching the finches (and knowing they’re eating their favorite food) makes up for that.
Birds don’t go to it I have several types of finch socks they will go to the white ones but not the blackI think it’s the color and the weave!
Did not attract anything~ We have dozens of different species of birds that come to our feeder every day, especially finches. However, after hanging this out for several weeks, we haven’t seen one bird come near it. This is nothing more than an empty black mesh net.
