Good structure, birds like it, holds up well – great for hanging in an old empty outdoor lamp. The birds love it and it fits nicely hanging in an empty old-style gas lamp fixture that is still in front of my Brooklyn row house. I put a cylinder of fencing around the post to grow vines up, and hang this from wire inside the covered sideless lamp part. not sure Could not honestly say if the birds liked it or not. The day after I hung it, it poured rain and all that was left was a plastic T hanger. I’ll stick with the loose stuff.
Preferred by my local birds! The birds love it, and the seed maintains its form, even in the wind and rain. It took the birds about two weeks to find the seed bell, then they devoured it in the next two weeks. Every day we get a few more birds, mostly chickadees and sparrows on the bell, and doves on the ground. I also purchased two kinds of suet, neither of which went over really well with the local birds, but they are going to have to eat it while they wait for my next Kaytee nut and fruit seed bell to arrive.
