It’s really nice to see when a product actually delivers on it’s stated purpose. Attractive to humans, but to finches? Not so much. I filled this with high-quality thistle, hung it where my old tube-style thistle feeder was located, and waited. On the old feeder I’d see at least a dozen birds a day; this time I only saw one finch the entire week. I took some thin bamboo skewers, cut them into shorter lengths, and poked them through the feeder to serve as perches. Works well I saw a Stokes finch feeder in the store for $20. This one looked about the same for a lot less so I ordered it. Unfortunately the quality is not as nice as the Stokes. When filling a lot of seed falls out the botton. The Stokes has a built in cup that would catch any falling seed. This one does not. The base on the one I got was miss made and at an angle.
