The Droll Yankees New Generation Finch Flocker Birdfeeder features a yellow base and cap to attract beautiful goldfinches to your yard. The classic tube feeder holds up to 2 pounds of Nyjer seed or premium Nyjer mix, and it has eight ports, so multiple birds can feed at once. Simply slide the cap up the hanger for quick, convenient filling. An internal seed baffle will direct seed to the lowest level to ensure the feeder empties completely, preventing seed buildup.
The feeder is durably designed with a UV-stabilized polycarbonate seed tube that won’t discolor, and a die-cast metal base and cap. The base is equipped with drainage holds that remove water and provide ventilation to keep seed dry and fresh.
This finch feeder can either be suspended from the stainless steel hanging wire or pole mounted, and it measures 5-1/2 by 5-1/2 by 27-1/2 inches. Made in the USA, it is backed by a lifetime warranty against squirrel damage.

Very Disappointed – Birds Do Not Flock to This Feeder Like They Did to My Old Feeder I am very disappointed with this feeder. I bought it to replace an older thistle (Nyjer) seed feeder. Unfortunately the birds don’t to seem to like this feeder. Very few birds fed from it so I re-hung my old thistle seed feeder and the birds flocked to it. I don’t know if this new Droll Yankee feeder has holes too small for the birds to get to the thistle seed, or if the plastic gives off an odor that the birds don’t like. I am soaking it in hot water right now to see if I can eliminate any…
Both work great and attract finches as soon as you hang them … I own both droll yankees finch flockers – the 23 inch and the 36″ one.. Both work great and attract finches as soon as you hang them out. The NYJER seeds have to be fresh. I only buy the ROYAL WING NYJER seeds – the smaller bags because you want the seeds to remain fresh. Finches won’t eat dry or wet seeds. I prefer the larger one because you will see more birds but both sizes work great. So if you want to see about 6 to 8 finches get the smaller one… If you want to see a show with 20…
but the poor reviews sent me to this model First day: covered with yellow finches! Part of me wanted the upside-down finch feeder, but the poor reviews sent me to this model. Hey, right-side up yellow finches are still pretty darn cute! I am very satisfied with this feeder and would recommend it to anyone who wants to attract small bird such as yellow finches. I am hoping that house finches aren’t similarly attracted to the feeder. So far, it’s just the darling yellows that I’m seeing.
