  1. More pellet than other ingredients … a lot of broken down mix in the bag. I’ve never ordered Tropimix before. This is a first. My current bird food supplier recently jacked their prices so I thought I would try something new. When I got the bag, there were 2 things that I was not overly pleased with. The first being the mix is more pellet based than other ingredients. I feed Harrisons and my birds tend to pitch other pellets. The second, which I’m guessing is more related to the size of the bag and handling during shipping is that about 1/4 of the bag was…

  2. Good product but store carefully We’ve fed this food to our bird for several years. Originally buying the smaller 4lb bag from local company, which averages around $30 a bag, so this 20lb bag is significantly cheaper. As with other reviewers, there can be some ‘dust’ in the bag, which is both flaking from the food itself and from crushing, but that represents very small percentage of the total and you get that in the 4lb back as well.We also had the problem with Moths. Whether they came in the bag or came from…

My yellow crested Amazon did not like this food, which I had to leave in her dish for up to a day and a half to get her to eat most of it. There ended up being more on the bottom of the cage than anywhere else. When she was out of the cage she actually tried to eat the dog’s food once, which was a new one. I gave her half seed mix half this Tropimix until it was gone. She actually seemed to like the Harrison’s extruded…
