THE BIRDS ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS, AND THERE’S NO MESS. Here in the Napa wine country, I have these peanuts on an open pedestal feeder 3′ high. The jays and the woodpeckers absolutely love them. But lots of small songbirds eat them too, titmice, wrens, sparrows, juncos, even house finches and goldfinches. And no peanut shells scattered all over the neighborhood. Plus I only have to refill every 5 days whereas when I used whole sunflower seeds in the shell, I had to refill every two days.
