Perfect as dry seed, or soaked and sprouted. Birds love sprouted seed! The Organic Birdseed Blend contains: Millet, Unhulled Sunflower, Unhulled Buckwheat, Wheat, Red Lentils, Blue Lentils, Adzuki Beans, Mung Beans, Canadian Brown Flax Seeds, Alfalfa, Radish, Quinoa, Sesame

This blend of certified organic seeds is ideal for bird nutrition. And best of all your birds will love it.

Everyone knows that birds are particularly sensitive to toxins, chemicals and pesticides. Keep your bird healthy and help them live longer with certified organic seed. Your bird will thank you!

Serve to your birds as dry seeds or sprouted seeds. To sprout, simply soak the seed mix immersed in water over night, and drain using a colander or sprouting trays or sprouting jars (see our other items for more info). Rinse the seeds twice over the next day. You don’t want to let the sprouts grow long. Usually birds prefer sprouted seeds that are just beginning to show the tiny tails of the sprout just emerging from the seed. You can refrigerate extra sprouts to inhibit more growth and stay fresh.

  1. Do not waste your money on this product the seeds are not for sprouting This mixture is a basic bird seed that is very inexpensive that you can purchase at any pet store and is a very low quality . The seeds will absolutely not sprout under any circumstances other than the sunflower seeds . I have tried this mixture using multiple sprouting techniques and unfortunately none of the techniques have worked as they have with other high-quality sprouting mixes . For the price per pound of this seed mix it is not worth the time and absolutely not worth the money…

  2. Easy to sprout even for a beginner! I purchased the 5lb can. I soaked the seeds over night in a cup and then would pour them out on a plate (sometimes I would use a unbleached coffee filter on top the plate ) and would just keep them moist (adding water about once a day). My bird loves the sprouted seeds and my dog will sometimes take a few sprouted seeds too ! My only hesitation with buying it again is my bird only eats the millet and leaves the rest of the seeds alone. Great product !

  3. My picky parakeet thinks the sprout mix is okay. I have exceptionally picky birds, two zebra finches and a budgie. The first few times I offered sprouts, they were completely rejected by all three birds. After some persistence, both species decided to try out the sprouts! Unfortunately, about 80% of the seeds are wasted because they are so picky. Ultimately, only the sprouted millet seeds are consumed; leaving everything else to go straight into the trash. I gave this product three stars because I’m not sure I’m going to buy this product…
