BestNest Wild Bird Seed Mix, Waste Free Blend, 50 lbs.

The Waste Free seed blend is specially formulated to accommodate nut-loving birds. Consisting of 80% shelled oil seed and peanut, this seed mix has been made without “filler” seeds to reduce waste and keep your feeder area clean. 1. WAY too many peanuts!! I ordered this birdseed largely because of the 5 star reviews. Our Orchard Supply store went bust a few months back, and the feed store doesn’t carry much in the way of 40 lb bags, so I went for this. As you can see by the picture, there are lots of peanuts, mighty few black oil seeds, and maybe 40 percent of the good stuff. My birds flung the peanuts onto the ground and would not have anything to do with them. Result? Lots of mess. I threw out probably 30 lbs of peanuts. Not satisfied at…

  2. the millet is the least favorite part for the birds but I have to say As one other reviewer pointed out, the millet is the least favorite part for the birds but I have to say, it does get eaten, even if it’s eaten last.I don’t use bird feeders because they always become squirrel feeders so I just throw the food loose on my back patio and at a far flower bed (to give more birds a chance). That’s the reason I love this ‘no waste’ food because I only put down enough that it all gets eaten and with no mess to clean up and since all the food is eaten,…
