Really great, perfect length for our patio bird feeder Really great, perfect length for our patio bird feeder. I love that you can attach it without drilling holes and it will be easy to move if we need to reposition it and take it down for the winter. I’m sure it would hold a lighter flower basket or something along those lines too. We did not need the additional hook we purchased with it, the feeder just hooked directly on. Very pleased.
Very pleased with this deck hook Very pleased with this deck hook. I have another one which is more like a shepherds hook and this one is dense and is goes further out away from the deck. The only negative thing I can think of is the clamp knob on the bottom is made of plastic, whereas the older one I have from another manufacture is all metal including the twist knob. It’s nice green color. I will try to follow up on my review next year to let you know how it holds up.
Use with bird feeders not hanging plants! Works successfully for a light weight bird feeder. However, with three days with a 10 inch hanging basket, the Audubon Clamp-On Deck Hook completely bent flush with my deck railing. It is useless at this point.
