  1. Sturdy, attracts lots of birds I am very happy with this feeder, which I have had for about a month now. It is sturdy and very well-made. I like the fact that it is plastic and not wood, as I think it will last longer. It is well-balanced and when it swings in the wind, it does not tip over. Rain water drains through the screen, but I still dump the seed out after a rain, to avoid molding and sprouting. 2. Great bird feeder I had a similar, although slightly smaller and cheaply made, bird feeder that I got from Walmart. It was a neighborhood favorite, and we seem to have LOTS of turtle doves here. The old feeder I had was wooden, with cheap hardware. The heavy birds and squirrels were starting to take a tole on it, and the bottom was coming off. So, I got this feeder. It cost a little more, but well worth it! It is very sturdy and slightly larger. Happy birds!

  3. Very nice I bought this for my wife, because I was lazy. She wanted me to fix her wooden, cedar, platform feeder, but I haven’t had time. I sand blasted, and clear coated, the wooden one last spring, but now the wires have broken. Chain would probably do well to hang it, but then the wood would need attention again . . . blah, blah, blah.
