Old and in need of a redesign to avoid feed waste. The part with the holes in is at such an angle that the chicks drag out a lot of feed. You don’t need this style even for day old chicks. The Miller Mfg PHF11 Plastic or Miller 9112 Metal both here on Amazon will work for everything from day old chicks to full grown with less waste. I have both this and the 9112 side by side in my brooder with new chicks and the 9810 wastes feed like crazy the 9112 does not. I’m going to pull the 9810 after three days.
