Plastic…NOT terra cotta!!! Still a good product though. I gave this product 2 stars because I am EXTREMELY dissatisfied with the misrepresentation. I SPECIFICALLY bought this particular heated bird bath because I was led to believe it was made of terra cotta. NOWHERE in the description does it say that it’s made of plastic. And the title says terra cotta.
Horrible product! Do not buy this product if you plan on clamping it or screwing it onto your deck or post. The hardware supplied for attaching it to deck rail or post make it so that the birdbath is slopes severely. Looks terrible and you can’t fill it with water because the water will slope to lower part of birdbath. I ended up just sitting the birdbath on top of my deck rail, hopefully it won’t fall off. I have had other similar deck-mounted birdbaths that did not have this problem so it is just this…
water freez To Who it may concern: My birdbath heater dose not work in the manner it should. The water freezes at anything below freezing. I called the factory customer service, and they instrucked me how to reset the heater, but the water still freezes over. I am only using the reccomended amount of water, or even some less than that. Have had the birdbath in place for about 3 weeks, but if the water is frozen, its not much of a help to my birds!
