Large feeder for cardinals to perch. I have used many tube feeders and this one has large feeding holes and slightly longer bird stands for cardinals to perch, which is why I bought it. Bird stands are not long enough for doves to perch which is a good thing for my placement under the roof overhang.
Should be mounted in a squirrel-proof location. Birdies are eating me out of house and home. This very large and attractive feeder is a nice-looking addition to any yard – does hold at least 3 quarts of seed also, so does not have to re-filled as often as smaller units.
high quality feeder which is great for smaller birds This is a very heavy, high quality feeder which is great for smaller birds. It holds a lot of seed so you won’t be filling it daily. I just wish it had a tray on the bottom so that cardinals could use it. For the cardinals, I have a smaller tube feeder with a large tray that is not as sturdy and I need to fill daily. Make the Audubon Mega Large Seed Tube with a tray and you will have the best feeder around!
