Works very well with the Humzinger feeder I have had one of these for several years and I am about to order another one. We use it with the Humzinger hummingbird feeder in the summer (easily the best hummingbird feeder we have ever used) and it helps to keep the feeder shaded in sun and dry when it rains. We use it in the winter with a regular seed feeder for winter birds, and it keeps the seed dry and free of snow. It has held up very well being outside 24/7 all year round for at least 5 years now, and it’s still going strong.
Freaked my Hummers Out I thought this was just the ticket to keep rain out of my Humzinger feeders (which I LOVE, by the way). But the hummingbirds hate it. The slightest breeze makes it swing wildly, and it makes this grating squeaking sound when it swings (probably the metal hook rubbing on the metal feeder holder). My hummingbirds either fly off immediately, or they perch on the feeder, look up at the Humbrella, and squeak at it before flying away.
