Works as advertised I have a feeder arm hanging off a balcony. The squirrels were climbing out from the railing, over the arm, and hanging down to raid the feeder. This baffle has completely thwarted them. They are unable to reach the feeder from the top, and the baffle is long enough to prevent them from jumping onto the feeder from the balcony. We’ve stopped feeding the squirrels – YAY!! This is the only squirrel baffle that we have ever purchased that has completely deterred the squirrels from even trying to attempt access to our birdfeeders anymore. I’d highly recommend it.
I actually use it as a cover for the bird … I actually use it as a cover for the bird feeder underneath. A squirrel broke the last cover by flying from a branch around 10 ft. away and crashing onto the cover/baffle. Let’s hope he learned his lesson and will not do it in the future. I have a different baffle to prevent squirrels from reaching the bird feeder by climbing up the pole. What I would suggest is to devise some sort of tie down mechanism to secure the cover to the bird feeder below perhaps with some type of elastic strapping…
