  1. Hands down the best field guide ever produced. I just got back from my bucket list trip to the Sierra Nevada. And really wish I had owned this field guide! I have 2 of Laws art books. I might not ever get back to this area, but the book is a treasure. He includes virtually everything, flowers, fungi, trees, insects, reptiles, birds, mammals, animal tracks, even animal poop! He even has star maps. I have two minor complaints. First, the size of the book. It is very skinny and tall. I prefer shorter, wider field guides. The reason being it…

Get a .pdf version if you want it on JMT.
