Poor attempt at a quick reference pamphlet to the birds of Puerto Rico This is an attempt at a quick reference waterproof pamphlet to some common birds of Puerto Rico, most of the endemics and some regional specialties. It also includes a location map with most of the good birding areas on it.I am an experienced birder and just wanted a quick reference guide to the endemic and regional specialties.There are some big negatives:1)the plates really are quite poor and tiny;2) it’s missing three endemics – elfin woods warbler,…

  2. A handy pocket guide for birding in Puerto Rico Only one plumage per species, so that male and female differences are not included so this is a very basic guide for beginners, , but very colorful.

Great portable birding guide As novice birders who had never been to Puerto Rico we found this pocket guide to be tremendously valuable for quickly identifying or narrowing down the identity of birds we saw.
