  1. and its easy to take along on a hike This is very handy to keep by the bird feeder. I bought a book first, but it had hundreds of birds and I couldnt page through and find what was perching at the feeder. This small pocket guide shows what will most likely turn up at my feeder, and its easy to take along on a hike. It arranges them by woodlands, meadow, shore, another useful feature.

  2. NJ birds at your fingrtips I just retired and I’m getting really interested in the birds I see in my backyard. This little fold- out gives you the information you need to classify the birds by shape of beak, length, etc. Excellent for a beginner like me. I highly recommend it if you’r impatient as I am and want to get into all the beautiful birds near the NJ Turnpike. (Kidding). I follow up by using The Birds of New Jersey Field Guide.

  3. Handy Guide A bit pricey, but also very handy. I purchased this guide for my grandson who loves the pictures and reading about each bird with his parents and grandparents.
