Very good if you’re near water, but not very comprehensive This worked very well for a whaling trip I went on. I took a grease pencil with me that I tied to a hole I punched in the top of the guide. This way, no matter how much water got sprayed on us, I could still underline or circle the birds I saw so that I could later enter them in bird. The problem with the guide was that it only had about half of the birds I saw in it. It wasn’t very comprehensive but I guess you have to expect that with a folding guide.
Handy and easy to recognize local CA birds Great and easy to use. We take it hiking and keep it handy to see what birds there are in our backyard
Bird is the word! This is so handy for identifying birds in our rural yard. Love it!
