  1. Greatest little book I have many bird books and this is by far the easiest to find your birds in. It is separated by color (who really notices the type of beak/tail, etc when you first see a bird). I see a pretty yellow bird and just flip to yellow section and find the bird quickly…then learn all the differences that this book points out. Easy to use and very informative. Tells the difference colors between male/female of same bird as well and the juveniles. Highly recommended for the beginner..or more…

  2. Stan Tekiela writes the best field guides for bird watchers Stan Tekiela writes the best field guides for bird watchers. His pictures are clear and his side notes are informative and can be really funny. Anytime I travel to another state I always make sure to have his books with me. I am hoping he writes one for Hawaii and Mexico in the future.

  3. Second book purchased by Stan Tekiela Moved from GA to TN and needed a new reference for my new mountain feathered friends. Like the way the sections are separated according to dominate color. Easy to quickly identify a species from my screened porch if I only get a quick look.
