  1. Great book. Great book. I keep this handy all of the time. I have a number of resources for identifying birds but this is one of my favorites. My only problem has been the fact that the main identification is by one main color and that can be a problem. However, in saying that, I find its identification system usually works and the added helpful tips for differentiating species is very useful.I would certainly recommend this book to other Kansas people interested in birds.

  2. Categorizes birds by color for newbies like me! This series categorizes birds according to their dominate color so even novices like me can start identifying birds. With the help of this guide, I’ve started noticing details of physiognomy, habitat, habits, and song. If I want to learn more about the bird, I can use this guide as a comprehensive introduction and then pore over my bigger, heavy bird book at home.

  3. This book is simple and easy to use with awesome pictures I bought this book primarily because my young children would ask me about our local birds and I’d have no clue! This book is simple and easy to use with awesome pictures. My boys, who can’t read yet, can use this book to identify birds!
