Wonderful for our 8 year old son My 8 year old son devoured this book as soon as we took it out of the Amazon box. Great pictures, birds organized according to color making it easy to locate birds, just enough info without being overwhelming for beginning bird watcher. Great Purchase! I bought this book for my grand daughter who is 6 years old. She is a voracious reader, but this book would be good for a child who doesnt read since it is filled with many pics of birds that are Illinois specific. My daughters family live is a birdhouse.
