  1. Poor Binding Having worked in a library for many years, this is a heavy book with poor binding. I hope the recipient of this gift enjoys it but I doubt if it will hold up to much handling. Too bad since there are a lot of birds to listen to. Also, if you are listening to a bird on page 200, you have to tap the counter to that number to hear the bird. Kind of regret this order for the price, condition and operation.

  2. Need magnifying glasses The book and it’s bird tweets is really great. My only complaint is the very small print in the index, and in the reading. The print is not black on white, it is a lighter color on white, and therefore hard to read. It would be nice if there was a map picture on each bird page to indicate where they winter, and where they are in the summer. I need to refer to another bird book at the same time.

  3. Best Gift! Bought this for my dad who likes to hike and is always courteous about the birds he hears. When I gave him this he would not put it down for days! Love to see him so happy but if you buy this for someone else you might want to buy yourself some ear plugs. One of the best gifts I’ve ever given.
