Great little wren house! I love this little house, there was a wren family in it within a week of my putting it out. I did use two eye screws instead of one, so it wouldn’t spin around in the wind. I put one at the front and back peaks of the roof, and it is very stable and hardly sways at all. The hole is just one inch, recommended for wrens, and that is small enough to keep all other birds out. I plan to get a second one for the other side of my yard.
Success! After a couple of failures with badly designed bird houses, one of these “Backyard Boys” houses did the trick. Mom and Poppa Wren successfully raised a brood that fledged this week. These houses are just the right size for wrens and are less accommodating to house sparrows and predators. Highly recommended!
