this is so bad I don’t even want to use it as a … No wonder is was discontinued… the birds don’t care for it at all. It’s 90percent Milo, a bit of cracked corn, very little sunflower and the only way to see the millet is to take a pinch in your palm and look very carefully… the birds in my backyard can go through a pound of seed in an hour but a pound of this I put out yesterday still has some left… this is so bad I don’t even want to use it as a mixer/filler… It may end up going in the garbage can !
Wild birds here don’t like the round red seeds which is the bulk of the 40 pounds. Wish they had posted a pic of the seed mix, and I would have known not the right mix for the birds I am feeding. The Thomas Fire wiped out so many food plants (I was surrounded by the fire), and will be feeding feeding wild birds for a couple to few years waiting for regrowth. Birds need much more variety of seed and they don’t like the round red seeds which is the bulk of the 40 pounds.
