NOT FOR CHICKENS!! First one I received had mold all around it (inside the plastic). Company was nice enough to send a new one. Noticed chickens barely pecked at it after more than a week’s time so along came my hammer. Then days later I noticed impacted/sour crops on my hens. NEVER had this before. All material in crop was from this seed… difficult to break apart, difficult to digest, and now dangerous for my chickens. Never ever again. This is going in the garbage. Perhaps good for squirrels or some other…
They love it, and on cold winter nights we love … We place a block in our large bunny pens in a covered area to make sure there is enough food between feedings in addition to regular food. Boy does this do the trick to keep those buns fed! They love it, and on cold winter nights we love knowing they have what they need if they are particularly hungry. No worries about ever running our of munchies!
