Not really waste free for me… Even though everything in the bag is edible, most of the birds that come to my feeders are not interested in the millet and cracked corn (and it contains A LOT of both) so my deck is kind of mushy with the rejected items anyway. Had better luck with waste free seed mixes that are all sunflower and nut products.
Not waste free. There is a lot of dried cracked corn in this product. The birds wouldn’t eat it but they did like throwing it all over the patio to get to the good stuff. Made as big of a mess as the sunflower seed did. Expensive considering half of it ended up on the ground.
Great Waste Free Bird Seed I have a squirrel-buster bird feeder out by my patio where I love to work at my desk and watch the brids through the window. The problem was the utter mess they created with all kinds of seed residue all over my patio furniture and outdoor carpet. So far, this seed minimizes the mess, and the birds absolutely love it. It has attracted a small greenish finch species that I did not even know was in my area. This is good seed.
