  1. Seems to work on the northern squirrels (WA state)! Update: The birds love this food, and there’s very little waste at all. The millet doesn’t sprout, either!! I only have one squirrel that likes this stuff, and she’s kind of insane. She eats everything, literally everything, so I could put peppered shoelaces in the feeder and she’d eat those.   2. This works! This actually works. The squirrels hate it and the birds love it. However, the hot does wash off in the rain and wears off in general if it’s outside for long. Usually, my birds eat it up fast so that’s not a problem. But I have noticed that after a rain, the squirrels go back to liking it. But if your birds are fast eaters like mine, it should work well.   3. Kind of works This seemed to deter the squirrels a bit. One would jump on the largest feeder nibble a bit then jump off within 10-15 seconds when usually they’d gorge until full. Then another would do the same thing. After about (3) days squirrels were on the ground wearing sombreros and drinking margaritas with their new hot food.Sadly, the birds never took to the food.
