Hummingbirds can’t reach the nectar in this “improved” version (710B)! I am also having the same problem with this “improved” version as another insightful reviewer stated in that the hummingbirds can’t reach the nectar in this newer model. It looks like the problem is that the combination of the longer flower tube and the deeper holding pan make it impossible for the hummingbirds to reach the nectar. Feeder not working without modification This feeder was ordered in addition to 2 other feeders made by Perky Pet I have been using for few years. It was my assumption that this 710B feeder would work just as well as my existing ones. After mounting it up for three weeks, the nectar in this new feeder still remained full.
