  1. Bees LOVE This Feeder – Hummingbirds, Not So Much. The hummingbirds at first enjoyed this feeder but within days the bees were enjoying it far more. I’ve never had a problem with bees in any of my other feeders. I think it’s because the fluid sits in the yellow/red flower section, so just about any flying pest can get nectar from the red flower area. Likewise, because the fluid sits inside flower if the feeder swings (due to a large bird trying to get nectar) the fluid drips out of the red flower, leaving a sticky and ant loving mess on the…

  2. Not good at keeping bats away UPDATE NOT BATS I was hoping that the bee guards would keep the bats away from my nector. The bats empty all 4 feeders in one night.   3. Okay – Spills easily and many parts to clean Mixed feeling about this feeder. I have multiple feeders and for some reason this one tends to be the most popular. The flowers on the base come off and so do the yellow bee guards for cleaning. But you do have to disassemble everything and reassemble. I left the bee guards off since they were the hardest to clean.This feeder does spill very easily so if the feeder sways in the wind you are left with sugar deposits on whatever is below.
