Bees LOVE This Feeder – Hummingbirds, Not So Much. The hummingbirds at first enjoyed this feeder but within days the bees were enjoying it far more. I’ve never had a problem with bees in any of my other feeders. Okay – Spills easily and many parts to clean Mixed feeling about this feeder. I have multiple feeders and for some reason this one tends to be the most popular. The flowers on the base come off and so do the yellow bee guards for cleaning. But you do have to disassemble everything and reassemble. I left the bee guards off since they were the hardest to clean.This feeder does spill very easily so if the feeder sways in the wind you are left with sugar deposits on whatever is below.
