Like crack for hummingbirds! I have had hummingbirds for years at my house. Every two-three years or so I have to replace the feeder due to fading, pieces breaking off of the base, and more recently because the inside of the container got black mold and it’s too hard to clean. I had purchased one of the other feeders with the metal base… it had a nice wide opening for easy cleaning, but it was terrible! I no longer had ANY hummingbirds coming by.
Attractive Feeder For My Bird Friendly Yard Received this today and it’s a pretty feeder. One photo shows it hanging on my back porch with about 1 cup of nectar and the other photo shows that it comes in 3 parts. Nice feeder Got this feeder because the wide mouth is easy to clean and like the bronze color instead of the standard red. The top of the base is metal, bottom is plastic. Haven’t had rust or leaking problems. Unlike a similar metal perky pet brand which is rusting. I don’t add color to the nectar so it is a bit difficult to see the level but that’s a minor issue.
