In order to prevent damage and leakage, do not screw the bottle onto the base too tightly. Screw it on until it just touches the base and then stop. It does not require a tight seal since the nectar flows from the mouth of the bottle into the base.

They`re beautiful and sparkle in the sunlight. I bought 2 of them, they are so pretty. I like the color and the way the glass is shaped with bubble like bumps making them look like raspberries. When I added the liquid they looked like sparkling jewels in the sunlight, even more beautiful. I guess that now it`s fall it`s too late in the season to see hummingbirds so I look forward to seeing them in the spring. I could be happy with these feeders on looks alone. They look expensive and make nice looking garden hanging ornaments.
