Excellent quality feeder and it looks nice too! I love this feeder. It’s well made. The glass is quite heavy, but the metal band at the top is very secure. The metal part that covers the nectar for the birds to feed from is heavy and so far, rust proof. The bottom is plastic so it cleans easily and has a rubber gasket around the top to keep bugs from getting in. I really love this feeder. Use a bottle brush to thoroughly clean it out. I didn’t have a bottle brush and after a couple of weeks noticed mildew that I couldn’t reach without…

The bottom portion has a metallic perch/lid over a plastic red holding dish. The parts fit together for a no-leak seal. Hummingbirds love this easy to clean well made jumbo feeder. It arrived packed well in foam. It is constructed of metal and glass. It appears that the glass is red and not coated. The hummingbirds flocked to it as soon as we replaced our old plastic Perky Pet feeder. It is easy to take apart and clean. This is a very large capacity feeder.
