My favorite humming bird feeder. Good design and raised perch. Low price too. This is my favorite h/b feeder. The hummers like the purple & red equally well. The hummers seem to like these smaller feeders than my larger feeders. The high perch is better for viewing them feed. Hummers like perches as they can rest while feeding. I change my sugar water (50/50) very often from a pitcher in the icebox, and I waste less food with the smaller feeder. I love it that this is smaller I love it that this is smaller, because I never use all the feed in the regular size feeders, so this enables me to fill it most of the way, while not using (and hence, wasting) very much nectar. I change them every third day during the hot weather, which is most of the year, since I live in SC. Also, it’s really easy to clean, unlike some feeders. I highly recommend this one.
Hummingbirds Love It! My little hummingbirds love this little feeder!Of course, so do the little bugs that manage to fit into the holes, but the wasps are rejected at the liquid-tight fit of the lid!Once you get used to how the feeder opens, management of the feeder is a breeze. I cannot wait for next season and the return of the migrating beauties that feed from these feeders!
