  1. A little dangerous for the rest of the wildlife I bought this a couple of years ago and it does a great job feeding birds. It also does a great job killing squirrels. There have been several times when squirrels have become trapped between the main pole and the arms holding the feeders. I really was upset by this and tried tying the arms closer to the pole. Sort of worked. I’ve taken it down. I was able to find a squirrel before it died a miserable death as had happened twice before. Enough.

  2. very good free standing bird feeder We moved to a place with a walled patio, so I needed to place a bird feeder on the patio surface. I solved the problem with this handy feeder, and a 50 lb bag of sand. It really needs something to anchor it down. I just plopped the bag of sand across half of the base and it did the trick. 3. but not bad enough that I’d give up my freestanding feeder This is such a handy product, but the arms will tend to slide down, so I buy hose clamps and put underneath them. That’s kind of a pain, but not bad enough that I’d give up this freestanding feeder.I love that I can move it around, and put it on a porch or deck, rather than just being limited to having it stuck into the ground, somewhere.p.s. Hose clamp that fits is size “7/16 in. to 29/32 in.”That’s what it’ll say on the bag. Photo attached.
