  1. Great feeder, faulty design (the pipe it stands on) This works brilliantly. Everything is top quality, the drainage mesh is smart… all is well except for a design flaw… the pole they sell you has no cap.Now, why is that a problem? Because 4-5 months later your bird feeder will be laying on the ground because the pole will have rotted out. How? Well constructed but only holds 2.3 quarts or 2-4 lbs. of bird seed depending upon size seed that is used Seller indicates that it holds 5 1/2 lbs. of bird seed but this is not even close to being accurate. I plan to use it for small black oil sunflower seeds but even with fine quail and dove birdseed the feeder held only 4 lbs. of fine seed. With the small sunflower seeds it holds only 2.2 lbs. of seed.In terms of volume it is a 2.3 quart capacity feeder.It is well made and the suet holders are enclosed at the top so as not to trap small birds inside.   3. Hmmm I have had this feeder since late summer, I am extremely impressed by the quality of the feeder it’s self, BUT I am extremely disappointed in the quality of the suet holders, they simply will not stay closed . For the price I would have expected better quality of the whole unit.
