I have pileated woodpeckers that visit and this is big enough and heavy enough for them to land and feed easily. I had a regular one before and they would have to curl around the feeder and the whole thing would swing when they landed. This is much more to their liking! It is also easy to fill, which I like. The other woodpeckers enjoy it too! I would definitely recommend this to anyone.
